๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐The Yearn US Fund navigated a volatile month, ultimately ending in the red. January initially had a strong start, fueled by positive investor reallocations. However, these gains were subsequently erased by heightened geopolitical volatility and growing concerns over the independence of the Federal Reserve. The portfolioโs AI-related holdings faced further pressure following Microsoftโs disappointing quarterly earnings, which dampened sentiment across the entire sector. The month concluded in negative territory as sell-off pressure intensified, driven by looming government shutdown risks and unrest surrounding the newly appointed Fed Chair. In contrast to November, when AI-related positions also faced significant headwinds, the portfolioโs defensive holdings were unable to cushion the impact this time, as the uncertainty in market sentiment weighed on performance throughout January.

๐ย Van Druten Capital – Yearn US Fund Performance Update November 2025
Early in the month, the fund benefited from positions from our previous portfolio that reported strong quarterly results. On November 7, the investment management system constructed a new portfolio for the Yearn US Fund for the coming months. Throughout November, the market experienced significant volatility driven by AI-related uncertainty around valuations and spending, as well as questions about a potential rate cut in December. This volatility resulted in a substantial drawdown in the fund’s performance, led by positions in technology and communication services. Towards the end of the month, these positions largely recovered, and the fund finished the month in positive territory, supported in part by strong performance within the healthcare sector.
